Your gifts and donations help support the Synagogue and the educational and social programs that help enrich our community.
Gifts may be made in honor of, or in memory of someone special to you. Gifts may be designated for one or more of the Temple Funds listed below. And, we have made it convenient to donate using your credit cards through PayPal .

CEMETERY FUND
Cleaning, care and maintenance of the cemetery.
ENDOWMENT FUND
Investment in the future of Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim with your gifts now, or through estate planning. If the Temple is named as a beneficiary in your will, your name will be added to our wall of Legacy Givers - "The Will to Give."
FRIEND OF THE TEMPLE
For non-members who wish to support the Jewish Temple in Alexandria: the faith, the people, the traditions, the synagogue.
GENERAL FUND
Wherever needed most.
LIBRARY & MUSEUM FUND
Preservation and Development of Temple Library and Museum.
MUSIC
Music accompaniment for services and special Shabbats, holidays and musical programs.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE FUND
Repair and upkeep of the Synagogue building and property.
MARY ANNA NACHMAN RELIGIOUS SCHOOL FUND
Supports the Temple Religious School.
RABBI DISCRETIONARY FUND
Discretionary Funds are used by clergy to subsidize important services and to be used for acts of confidential tzedakah and acts of lovingkindness to meet human needs within the temple family and surrounding community. It is customary to honor a clergy member to mark a special occasion, who has been a part of a Simcha, served as a comfort in challenging times, or other expression of appreciation with a donation to their discretionary fund.

TEMPLE ACTIVITIES FUND
Investment in social and educational activities and programs.
TEMPLE YOUTH GROUP
Programs and activities for teens and preteens.

TREE OF LIFE
A leaf on our Tree of Life is a wonderful way to honor family and friends.
BIRTHDAYS-BAT/BAR MITZVAHS-ANNIVERSARIES-BABY NAMINGS-SPECIAL LIFE EVENTS
A leaf is $150.00 and can be given by one or more people.
